So what happens OOO?

Well, naturally I like to think I am the boss however, both my wife and 3 year old son will beg to differ. I have both an adventurous and competitive nature which compels me to always move forward in life. I ran my first marathon in September last year and have now set my sights on swimming and gym to build strength for future races and triathlons.

I strive for optimal performance whether it be researching sauna set methods for maximum muscle growth techniques or making a cup of filter coffee while gracefully (at least I think so) pirouetting through the kitchen and the rest of the house trying to squeeze every last drop of productivity out of that 4 minute window.

It doesn’t end there… I research and pick apart reviews for upcoming shows and movies and am ruthless when it comes to the end of episode 2 in what has become a ritual gladitorial “thumbs up or down” moment - hold my popcorn Caesar. Recent thumbs up go to MobLand, Warfare & The Ballad of Wallis Island.

I am very interested and grateful for my exposure to philosophies such as Stoicism and particularly Buddhism. I find many of the lessons and techniques very profound and surprisingly practical

Fun looks like a braai (fine… barbeque) with friends and family with a frisbee, soccer or rugby ball about ideally. Or, a bike ride with my boy who looks set to be just as, if not even more so, competitive than his old man.

  • One does not simply have one favourite Lord of the Rings quote…

    “Fool of a took!”

“A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.”

  • That not-so-much coveted award goes to The Last of us Season 2. While I thoroughly enjoyed Season 1, this latest season has just taken a turn for the worse. Joking around trying to kill clickers in the dark in hand-to-hand combat? Come on…
